Harlesden House

A new sustainable house on a secluded urban site.

A tree lined brownfield site provided the perfect opportunity to develop a compact family home.
We distorted traditional pitched roof forms to minimize impact to neighbours whilst amplifying internal spaces.
An upside down plan makes the most of an expansive upper floor for living spaces whilst more private bedroom spaces are sheltered at garden level.
A natural palette of materials draws inspiration from the verdant setting and creates a building which responds to seasonal change.
