A new lakeside visitor centre in a pastoral landscape.
A competition entry for a new lakeside visitor centre in Kent. Our proposal conceived the building as a layering of landscape and programme, punctuated with courtyards, a bird watching tower and unified by a monolithic timber roof.
We pulled apart functions to allow external spaces to permeate the building and courtyards to frame the landscape beyond.
